The Shinta Mani Foundation improves the lives of Cambodians by providing opportunities to overcome poverty. Since 2004 the Shinta Mani School of Hospitality has trained under-privileged Cambodians in hotel operations and has helped graduates find employment for a bright future – free of charge.
The Shinta Mani Foundation
Shinta Mani’s Hospitality Training School educates students in hotel operations, English, computer and life skills. Students receive free tuition, books, uniforms and meals. The graduates are sought after by businesses and the program boasts a one-hundred percent hiring record!
The Foundation also provides direct assistance to villages for building clean water wells as well as supporting families, health care, education and small business development.
We encourage you to make a donation to the Shinta Mani Foundation to support their very worthwhile activities.
GPS Journeys partners with the Shinta Mani Foundation in our Cambodia programs – we stay at the Shinta Mani Hotel, a boutique hotel located in Siem Reap, when visiting nearby Angkor Wat.
GPS supports TAP – Travelers Against Plastic. TAP is a non-profit organization that aims to educate travelers on the importance of using reusable water containers instead of buying and using plastic bottles. It is better for the traveler, the people they visit and for the planet. For more information, please visit http://www.travelersagainstplastic.org/
